sewing table redo

I haven't blogged in a while and have a lot to share. My school year will soon be over and I hope to get to finish some projects and get back to blogging.  Here is one of my latest projects.  Of course I forgot to take a before picture.  Just imagine a typical 70s sewing table.  This had great lines and a beautiful front.  For some unknown reason it screamed orange to me.....so I obliged.....
Then I felt like it needed a little something on the front.  But what??? I decided to try a stencil. (I am not too good at stenciling but I tried it anyway.) I cut out a bird silhouette using my cricut and used it as the stencil.  After stenciling I went over it with a little sand paper to take the "newness" off.
and here she is in my store ready for her new home.........
Let me know what you think!! Peace my friends!!

  1. Hey Jen!!! So good to hear from you! I totally fell off the blog band wagon!

The bird is a nice touch to your table! It screams spring! I'm sure it will be sold in no time!

I need to go and update my post. I left out a part. I think some kind of state test there was a big difference between the math and reading scores. Would that make a difference?

  2. Jen, Thanks for stopping by to introduce yourself. Dan said he enjoyed the Stars and Stripes, and he enjoyed meeting you. Wish I could have been there. Your sewing table looks great! When our lives slow down (after the election), I want to come visit your shop. laurie
